This notice explains what personal data CFA Society Doha collects through this website, why, and the choices you have. CFA Society Doha is registered with the Qatar Financial Centre as CFA Society Doha LLC (G). We handle personal data in line with the data protection rules that apply to us in Qatar, including the QFC Data Protection Regulations.
What we collect
- Forms on this site (contact, volunteering, mentorship, study groups, job posts, employer recognition): the details you type in, such as your name, email address, phone number, employer, and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address, collected by our email service, Constant Contact.
- Event registration and payment: handled by Constant Contact and PayPal on their own websites. We do not see or store your card details.
- Visitor statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without building a profile of you.
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To answer your message or request
- To run events, the mentorship program, study groups, volunteering, and the Research Challenge
- To send the newsletter, if you subscribed
- To meet our obligations as a member society of CFA Institute and a QFC-registered entity
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the society (our form, email, hosting, event, and payment services) and, when needed for a program you take part in, with CFA Institute. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us, then we delete it. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in each email.
Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it. Email info@doha.cfasociety.org.
