Next cohort starts: To be announced
Length: six months
Time: about one to two hours a month, in person or online
Who can join: CFA Society Doha members and CFA Program candidates based in Qatar
Why mentor?
- Help shape the next generation of investment professionals in Qatar
- Build your own leadership and coaching skills
- Meet members outside your own firm and sector
Why be a mentee?
- Get advice from someone who has done the job you want
- Plan your CFA Program study and your career steps
- Grow your network across Qatar’s investment industry
How it works
- Apply. Mentors and mentees fill in a short form about their experience and goals.
- Match. The committee pairs mentors and mentees by sector, interests, and goals. You can ask for a specific match.
- Kick-off. All pairs meet at a kick-off session with guidance on how to get the most from the program.
- Meet monthly. Each pair agrees on its own schedule, in person or online.
- Close and give feedback. A closing session ends the cohort. Your feedback improves the next one.
Emerging professionals group
Early-career charterholders and candidates in their first ten years in the industry can also join our emerging professionals group. The group proposes socials, career events, and university outreach, and gives its members early experience in society leadership.
