Volunteer Opportunities

Give back to the profession, meet other members, and build your skills. In many cases, volunteer work also earns Professional Learning (PL) credits.

Volunteer with CFA Society Doha

Role	What you do	Time
Programs committee	Plan and run events, find speakers, and manage registrations.	3–5 hours a month
Communications committee	Write event recaps and news, run LinkedIn and Instagram, and keep this website up to date.	2–4 hours a month
University relations committee	Run the local Research Challenge, organize campus talks, and support affiliated universities.	2–4 hours a month, more from November to February
Membership committee	Welcome new members, run the renewal campaign, and organize the Charter Award Ceremony.	2–3 hours a month
Sponsorship committee	Find sponsors and employer partners and look after them during the year.	2–3 hours a month
Research Challenge mentor or grader	Guide a student team, or grade written reports and judge presentations.	Mentor: up to 6 hours a season (CFA Institute rule). Grader: about 4–6 hours in early February

CFA Institute also needs volunteers worldwide, for example to write and grade exams, review curriculum, and serve on councils.
